There is a national memorial at Savar Nabinagar, about 25 kilometers away from Dhaka. This building, popularly known as the National Monument, is called "collective effort". The Monument Complex, which covers approximately 84 acres of land. 7 pairs of national monuments point to 7 different levels of independence movement. Stages respectively - The lowest wall was the symbol of the language movement of 1952; Secondly, the United Front election in 1954, the movement of the constitution of 1965, the movement of education in 1962, the 6-point movement of 1966, the mass upsurge of 1969, and the biggest wall of 1971's great independence War. These seven stages are considered to be the main achievement of Bangladesh's independence. Although the foundation stone of 16 December 1972 was laid, the construction started in 1979. The memorial was officially inaugurated on 16 December 1982.
